Theta Chi at the University of Idaho

Theta Chi Fraternity was originally installed on the University of Idaho's campus on January 31, 1959. The chapter gave-up its charter in 1996 due to low membership and for 5 years the chapter house sat vacant. Three men in 2001 sought to bring the Epsilon Kappa chapter back to its originally glory and in 2002 the Epsilon Kappa Chapter of Theta Chi Fraternity was re-established on the Idaho campus.

For over 20 years, Theta Chi at the University of Idaho has received numerous awards and recognitions from the university and from our international headquarters. We maintain one of the largest fraternity memberships on campus and are extremely proud of the fact that we have maintained the highest fraternity grade point average for eight out of the last nine semesters. Our members are active participants in campus culture with brothers serving as tour guides for the university, involved in student government, and leaders of numerous student organizations. As of 2023, we are the most awarded Theta Chi Chapter internationally—having won 14 Howard R. Alter Jr. Awards for Chapter Excellence.
